In conjunction with the Ramadhan month and coming celebrations of Hari Raya, Sports Toto staff made a goodwill visit to Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Pediatric ward today to bring festive cheer to about 100 children staying in the ward.
Deputy General Manager (Sales & Marketing) Sports Toto, Ms Tan Swee Lian, who was leading ten Toto staff for this visit said today's visit was the third time by the company to the HUKM pediatric ward.
She said, "All this while, Sports Toto has been carrying out charity activities for the less fortunate during festival celebrations. Apart from goodwill visit to HUKM pediatric ward during Hari Raya festival, the company also carries out ang pow donation for the aged during Chinese New Year as well as charity donation for the needy during Deepavali celebrations."
Ms Tan was speaking during a simple but solemn welcoming ceremony at HUKM in conjunction with the visit.
During the visit, Ms Tan presented "Duit Raya" of RM20 and a mini hamper to all the warded children of various races. The children were naturally excited and happy when they received the Toto gifts.
Meanwhile, HUKM Public relation officer Basri said," he hopes more corporate will emulate Sports Toto in organizing goodwill visits to patients warded in hospital. In doing so, they are sending love and cares for the patients"
Sports Toto will also be organizing a Break Fasting Dinner with orphans on the coming Wednesday.
