After prize money of Super Toto 6/49 1st prize jackpot surpassed RM6 million mark on last Saturday (March 11), the jackpot, which is the highest so far this year finally found its suitors. Two lucky winners from Johore and Perils won the hefty prizemoney.
The winner from Perlis came in a group of seven family members. One of the winners said he would invest some of his windfall in property while another winner of the group said she would make use of the prizemoney won for her children's education abroad.
The two winners won the 1st prize of Super Toto 6/49 jackpot drawn on Saturday, March 2006 and both of them shared the whopping RM6,352,000 prizemoney.
Sports Toto Malaysia, in a statement said since both of the winners chose system seven to play the jackpot game, therefore, besides winning half share of the 1st prize jackpot, i.e.RM3,176,131.31, they also won six shares of the third prize ( RM2,888 per share), making a total winnings of RM3,193,459.31 each.
The seven numbers chosen by them were exactly the same i.e 7, 8, 9, 29, 32, 41 & 43 and six of the seven numbers betted were chosen as the 1st prize winning numbers of Super Toto 6/49 jackpot drawn on last Saturday (March 11). The 1st prize winning numbers drawn for this particular draw were 7, 8 , 29, 32, 41, and 43 while the bonus number drawn was 42.
The winner from Johore was the first to claim the prizemoney. He told Toto staff that he considered himself very luckly because he only started playing the Super Toto 6/49 game barely one week ago when the snowballed amount was almost RM6 million.
He said, when he learned that he had won the 1st prize jackpot, he prayed that he would be the sole winner to walk away with the hefty jackpot. However, when he learned later that there was another winner, he was happy to share the prizemoney with the second winner.
Seven form a pool to purchase 4 system seven tickets
Meanwhile, the second winner came in a group of seven family members. One of the winners told Toto staff that his family members began to form a pool of seven to play system seven when the Super Toto 6/49 1st prize jackpot surpassed RM5 million about two weeks ago.
He said, they chipped in a sum of RM28 to purchase four system seven tickets using numbers chosen by all the seven family members.
He said, in spite of his winnings, he would continue to work and plans to invest some of his windfall in property.
Another winner in the group, a housewife said that the winnings will come in handy as she needs a substantial sum of money to finance her two children's education abroad.
According to her, the seven would divide their good fortune among themselves based on the amount each of them placed.
